El Indio's addicted to making monsters by the looks of it. Here's his third creation "Gunther von Hagenstein" rendered both beautifully and gruesomely in pen and coloured pencil. No flesh on this one at all, creepy!

"Nightmares In A Transplanted Brain" is something I doodled in my Moleskine this evening, trying to imagine what a transplanted brain's nightmares might look like. Probably nothing like this! Not an ATC but I thought I'd share it anyway 'cos of the monster theme.

Gallery 83 - Art Exhibition Part 3

Another batch of excellent Southend kids work today, some very original ideas because many of them did not know anything about Frankenstein's Monster so came at it from a fresh perspective. You can tell which ones looked through the folder containing all the cards I have received so far, as they generally went with the green face.

Two from Jamie, aged 11 (Pen, marker and coloured pencil)

Gram, aged 7 (Felt tip pen and pencil)

Gracie, aged 9 (Felt tip pen and marker)

Three from a very prolific George, aged 9 (Felt tip pen, coloured pencil and marker)

Gallery 81 - Art Exhibition Special Part 1

On Sunday I exhibited at an art show in Southend, I also ran a workshop for the other artists and visitors to the show so that they could create some Frankenstein monster cards. Over the next few days I will post the cards that were created during the day. I'll start with some adult entries today and then tomorrow I'll share some of the fantastic art from kids who attended the show.

Art Exhibition

I will be exhibiting the two Frankenstein Monster paintings below at an art exhibition at Tiffins Bar and Restaurant in Southend on Sunday 20 September from 12-6pm.

I will also be running a "Patchwork Of Flesh" workshop for anyone who wants to come and create a Frank card, all card and materials provided.

This will hopefully give me some new cards to upload here as new submissions have slowed down dramatically recently. So come on people get scribbling, we need some new monsters to gawp at.
