Another batch of excellent Southend kids work today, some very original ideas because many of them did not know anything about Frankenstein's Monster so came at it from a fresh perspective. You can tell which ones looked through the folder containing all the cards I have received so far, as they generally went with the green face.

I will be exhibiting the two Frankenstein Monster paintings below at an art exhibition at Tiffins Bar and Restaurant in Southend on Sunday 20 September from 12-6pm.

I will also be running a "Patchwork Of Flesh" workshop for anyone who wants to come and create a Frank card, all card and materials provided.

This will hopefully give me some new cards to upload here as new submissions have slowed down dramatically recently. So come on people get scribbling, we need some new monsters to gawp at.

Here's a real treat for everyone, today's beautiful pencil portrait is by Tony DiTerlizzi.

Tony is an American fantasy artist, children's book creator, and motion picture producer.
He created The Spiderwick Chronicles series with Holly Black, and was an executive producer on the 2008 film adaptation of the series. He won a Caldecott Honor Medal for his adaptation of The Spider and the Fly. In the gaming industry, he best known for his work in the collectible card game Magic: The Gathering and on the Planescape product line for the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game.
