Hot Pants

Here's an art doll I made for a swap over at ATCSforall.com. I thought I'd share him seeing as he's a cross-dressing bird/angel/Frank monster in silver hot pants.
He's made from photos and anatomical drawings that I remixed in Photoshop and then cut out and hand coloured with pencils.

I got an envelope full of portraits today which I'm going to drip feed you, two a day for the next five days.
They come from Craig Stephens, an artist and art teacher at Chana High School in Auburn, California. The first portrait is by Craig, the other nine are by students that he told about "A Patchwork Of Flesh". Some of the cards did not have much or any information on the back so there are not names for all of the artists, also I have made informed guesses about the media used. If any of the students involved drop by, feel free to leave your details in the comments and I will update.
This is exactly the sort of thing I was hoping to receive when I set the project up, so a big thanks to Craig and his students, a very talented bunch with some very original takes on the monster .
Don't miss the rest of these portraits over the coming days.

Transexual Transformer

My original blog Pinhead45, which is for my other art and some music too, has been neglected recently mainly due to spending more time on A Patchwork Of Flesh. I've just started making art dolls for a swap at atscforall.com and thought you might fancy a look at the Transsexual Transformer I've just created and uploaded at http://pinhead45.blogspot.com/

"Nu Bride" by Coop (collage remixed in Photoshop)

Here is the magazine collage I made before I created the final version in Photoshop.
Can you recognize the 4 female celebrities I dissected to assemble the Nu Bride?
Much harder this time, as before leave your guesses in comments once someone has worked it out, I'll post the correct answer there.

Show Us What You Got!

Come on you gawpers and lurkers, get busy with your pens and pencils, gluesticks and scissors, spray cans and stencils. It would be great to keep up the early momentum and be able to post a new monster for you every day but things have slowed down over the last week. If you've visited and felt tempted to create something but haven't put pen to paper yet, have a go. I can only update regularly if you keep 'em coming.

Answers in the comments please. I'll let you know once the correct pairing has been named.
